About the Role
We are seeking a General Practitioner (GP) or suitably qualified medical practitioner to provide on-site clinical support during imaging procedures at our Bunbury clinic, particularly during the administration of contrast media.
This is a safety-focused role requiring the ability to recognise and manage contrast reactions and respond to medical emergencies that may arise in a radiology setting. The role offers structured, predictable hours and is well suited to practitioners seeking flexible clinical work outside of traditional general practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site medical support during imaging procedures, including contrast-enhanced studies
- Recognise and manage contrast media reactions
- Respond to general medical emergencies within the clinic environment
- Administer emergency medications (e.g. adrenaline, antihistamines, IV fluids)
- Perform resuscitation and life support, including airway management
- Manage allergic and anaphylactic reactions
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, radiographers, and clinic staff
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
- Demonstrated competence in emergency and acute care management
- Confidence administering emergency medications and performing resuscitation
- Robust clinical judgement and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Availability to work Wednesday to Friday afternoons (2:30pm – 5:30pm)
- Flexibility to pick up additional casual shifts when required
