Overnewton Anglican Community College is seeking an enthusiastic German Teacher to teach students in Years 7–10 and help foster a love of languages and cultural understanding.

About the role

As a valued member of our teaching team, you will deliver engaging German language lessons, inspire student curiosity about the world, and contribute to a supportive and vibrant learning environment.

Position Title: German Teacher

Campus: Yirramboi Campus, Keilor

Reports to: Head of Middle School, Head of Senior School, Head of Languages

Time Fraction: 0.5

Tenure: Fixed term until Dec’26 (possibility of extension)

Effective Date: August 2026

What you’ll do

- Teach German to students in Years 7–10 through engaging and contemporary learning experiences.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and wellbeing.
- Plan, assess and report on student progress.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.




- Provide pastoral care and build positive relationships with students and families.
- Contribute to the broader life of the College through co-curricular activities and College events.

What you’ll bring

- Relevant teaching qualifications and current VIT registration
- Experience teaching German at secondary level
- Solid classroom management and communication skills
- Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum
