We are seeking a motivated GIS Technician to join our consultancy team, providing GIS support services on behalf of a Local Government Authority (LGA) client. This position is ideal for someone with solid industry experience who is looking for flexible, remote work that fits comfortably around school hours or personal commitments.
You will be responsible for delivering core GIS services, including:
- Data manipulation and preparation
- Map production and cartographic outputs
- Basic spatial analysis
- General GIS support tasks as required by the client
This is a part‑time, hourly‑rate position offering 20–40 hours per fortnight, depending on your availability and workload requirements.
Key Skills & Experience
We are looking for candidates who bring:
- Experience in the GIS industry (essential)
- Local government GIS experience (highly regarded but not mandatory)
- Proficiency with MapInfo Professional (preferred) or QGIS (acceptable)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established data standards
