We design and manufacture clinically validated, hyper-realistic synthetic human torsos and organ models that enable MedTech companies, surgeons, and teaching hospitals to replace cadavers and live animals in surgical training globally.

About the Role
3D printing is a key process within our operations, and we're expanding the team with a role dedicated to it.
You'll operate our resin and filament printers day to day, and own the systems around them: printing planned and prioritised against production requirements, documented procedures supporting consistent and repeatable output, and a preventative maintenance program that keeps the equipment running well.
It's an opportunity to take real ownership of a core manufacturing process early in your career. We don't expect you to arrive knowing how to do all of this — you'll be supported by our production, engineering and quality teams, and given the room to grow into it.
What You'll Do
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot resin and filament 3D printers.
- Prepare, slice, and optimise print files for quality, consistency, print time, and material usage.
- Post-process printed parts — support removal, washing, curing, inspection, and preparation for use.
- Own the 3D printing schedule, planning and prioritising printing against production requirements.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures across our printers, covering settings, orientation, supports, material, and post-processing.
- Own a preventative maintenance program across both printer types, including servicing, calibration, cleaning, and basic repairs.
- Diagnose and resolve print failures and equipment faults.
- Work safely with the materials our processes use — 3D printing resins, IPA, cleaning agents, and hydrogel-related materials — following our procedures, safety data sheets, and training.
- Set up, clean, move, and handle tooling,
fixtures, equipment, and materials across our lab, production, and workshop areas.
- Keep accurate records of print jobs, consumables, output, and quality outcomes, to our quality and manufacturing standards.
- Train others in the team on the procedures you develop.

About You
You're a recent engineering graduate who likes working with your hands, likes machines, and takes satisfaction in making a process run properly. You're organised, methodical, and want to own something end to end.
- A degree in mechanical, manufacturing, process, mechatronic, biomedical, or product design engineering, or a related discipline.
- A genuine interest in manufacturing, process improvement, and hands-on production work.
- Solid attention to detail and a solid documentation mindset.
- A positive can-do attitude and willingness to get involved wherever the team needs support.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Clear communication and the ability to work across production, engineering, and quality.
Highly desirable, but not essential:
- Hands-on experience operating 3D printers, particularly resin (SLA/MSLA) and filament (FDM) machines.
- Experience maintaining, servicing, calibrating, or repairing 3D printers or similar equipment.
- Familiarity with slicing software and post-processing workflows.
- Exposure to CAD, process documentation, or continuous improvement methods.
Formal industry experience isn't required. We're hiring for capability, attitude, and genuine interest in the work.

Inherent Requirements of the Role
Before applying, please consider that this role involves:
- Handling, using, storing, and disposing of materials and general laboratory and manufacturing chemicals used in IMRA's processes, including but not limited to 3D printing resins, IPA, cleaning agents, and hydrogel-related materials, in accordance with IMRA procedures, safety data sheets, training, and applicable safety requirements.
- Working in laboratory, production, and workshop environments, including the use of appropriate PPE and adherence to IMRA's health, safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Reasonable manual handling, including moving, setting up, cleaning, and handling tooling, fixtures, equipment, materials, and production items, within safe manual handling limits and in accordance with IMRA procedures.
