Role Description PCMG is expanding, and we're looking for QS & Graduate QS to join our Melbourne team. The role involves assisting with and preparing cost estimates, cost plans,
and contract administration for projects across various sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting tender evaluations, monitoring project costs, maintaining cost reports, site inspections, progress claim & variations assessments.
The position requires working closely with Senior & Associate QS to support / provide accurate cost estimates, support procurement processes, and help ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with agreed financial objectives. Qualifications
Proficiency in core cost management activities, including Cost Management, Cost Planning, and Cost Reporting.
Experience or training in detailed measurement and documentation, including preparation, take-offs, measurement and review of cost plans.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Project Management or a closely related discipline.
Solid analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and market research. Competence in MS Excel and quantity surveying or cost management software tools (CostX).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate within a team.
Understanding of construction methods, contract administration, and procurement processes; prior internship or industry experience is advantageous.
