Design for more than a screen.

Your work could appear on social feeds, merchandise, billboards and broadcast television.

It could light up the big screen at AAMI Park, cover the walls of a dressing room or help bring a major Melbourne City moment to life.

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer with a sharp eye, strong ideas and a genuine desire to work in sport. Someone who understands the power of great design, obsesses over the details and can bring creative flair to an established brand.

You’ll work across almost every part of Melbourne City FC, helping shape how our Club looks and feels across digital, matchday, marketing, membership, merchandise and more.

This is a role for someone who can take a brief and run with it, developing the idea, crafting the design and delivering the finished product. You’ll need to work quickly when the moment demands it, without ever losing sight of the details.

What you’ll be designing

No two days or briefs will be quite the same. Your work will include:

- Social media graphics and digital content

- Matchday creative for AAMI Park, including the big screen and LED signage

- Membership, ticketing and fan engagement campaigns

- Kit launches and major Club announcements

- Billboards, posters and other out-of-home creative

- Website and email assets

- Merchandise and online store creative

- Commercial partner campaigns and branded content

- City Football School and City in the Community assets

- Hospitality spaces, dressing rooms, stadium signage and event branding

You’ll work closely with our content, marketing, commercial, membership and football teams, turning ideas into creative that connects with our fans.

What we're looking for

First and foremost, you have a proper eye for design.

You understand composition, typography, hierarchy and brand.

You know when to add something, when to pull it back and why the smallest detail can make the biggest difference.

You’ll also bring

- At least three years’ experience in graphic design

- A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility and attention to detail

- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

- The ability to develop concepts and carry them through to final delivery

- Confidence working within established brand guidelines while still finding room for flair

- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple briefs and deadlines

- A cooperative approach and the confidence to work with people across the Club

- A genuine interest in sport, with a passion for football even better

Experience in professional sport is welcome, but it isn’t essential. Motion design, video editing, web development or CMS experience would also be valuable, but we don’t expect you to do everything.

A relevant qualification in graphic design or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

The reality of working in football

Football moves quickly, and sometimes the biggest moments happen outside traditional office hours.

This is a full-time role based at our home at Casey Fields and will include some evening and weekend work around matches, announcements and major Club moments.

In return,

you’ll see your creative work come to life in places most designers never get to work, from the stadium screen to the shirts worn by our fans.

What you’ll get

- The chance to help shape the creative identity of one of Australia’s leading football clubs

- Exposure to a wide variety of high-profile creative projects

- A collaborative, inclusive and supportive working environment

- Access to a global football network through City Football Group

- Club kit and membership

- Staff events, partner offers and discounts

- Access to our Employee Assistance Program

- Unique development opportunities within Melbourne City FC and across CFG
