Greek Speaking Home Care Worker for Aged Care Clients - Campsie, NSW Greek-Speaking Aged Care Worker / Personal Carer Location: Campsie, NSW (Southwest Sydney) Hours: Casual Commencement: Immediate Start for the right applicant About the Role We are urgently seeking a compassionate, experienced, and fluent Greek-speaking Home Care Worker to provide vital, dedicated care for an elderly client living independently in Campsie. The client is living with dementia and is assessed as a high fall risk. This role is critical to ensuring daily safety, physical well-being, and peace of mind while helping him maintain his routine in a culturally familiar environment.

Shift

Structure & Availability This position requires a dedicated carer who can commit to a split daily schedule, providing short, high-impact check-ins. You must be available for both of the following daily windows:

- Morning Shift: 2 Hours (between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) - Night Shift: 2 Hours (between 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM) Note: Ideal for a local carer living in or very close to Campsie due to the morning/night split routine.

Key Responsibilities - Communication & Companionship: Providing fluent Greek conversation to support cognitive engagement, reduce anxiety, and ensure comfort.

- Fall Prevention & Mobility Support: Vigilant supervision and assistance with transferring, walking, and moving around the home safely.
- Personal Care: Assisting with secure morning routines (showering, dressing) and night routines (preparing for bed, medication prompts).
- Meal Preparation & Hydration:



Assisting with preparing light, healthy meals and encouraging adequate fluid intake.
- Domestic Assistance: Light housekeeping to keep pathways clear and eliminate tripping hazards.

Requirements & Qualifications - Language Skills: Fluent, conversational Greek is an absolute requirement.

- Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting clients living with Dementia and managing high fall risks.
- Qualifications: Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support, or equivalent.
- Compliance Checks: Current National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (or evidence of application).
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence with a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Working rights in Australia.
