Role Description The Ground Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality ground training to flight and cabin crew, including classroom instruction, briefings, and assessments aligned with regulatory and company standards.

The Ground

Instructor will prepare lesson plans and training materials, maintain training records and documentation, and support recurrent and initial training programs. The role also involves collaborating with operational and safety teams to ensure training content remains current, accurate, and aligned with Jetstar procedures and safety requirements.



A focus on continuous improvement in training delivery and learner engagement is expected.

Qualifications Solid instructional and facilitation skills, including experience delivering classroom-based training and briefing operational staff.

Knowledge of aviation operations, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CASA or equivalent), with prior airline or aviation training experience highly desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.

Organizational and administrative skills for managing training schedules, documentation, and compliance records.

Proficiency with common office and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, e-learning or LMS platforms) and comfort with technology-enhanced training.

Relevant training or education qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent, and a background in aviation, education, or a related field.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, maintain attention to detail, and uphold high safety and professionalism standards.
