MVR Retailers Pty Ltd, trading as Mobile Experts Penrith, operates within the Mobile Experts network, providing mobile device repair and accessories services to customers in Penrith and surrounding areas. The business undertakes repairs for mobile phones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches and other supported electronic devices, including screen replacements, battery replacements, charging port repairs, motherboard repairs, liquid damage repairs, software support and data recovery. The store also supplies mobile accessories and device protection products while focusing on reliable repairs, quality workmanship and responsive customer service.
About the Role Mobile Experts Penrith is seeking an experienced Hardware Technician to diagnose faults, repair electronic devices and complete quality testing before repaired devices are returned to customers. The position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to manage repair work efficiently in a customer-facing retail environment.

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per annum plus Superannuation Key Responsibilities 1. Diagnose hardware faults in mobile phones, tablets, laptops and other supported electronic devices
- Assess damaged devices and determine suitable repair methods and replacement components 3. Repair and replace faulty parts, including screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, speakers, buttons and other internal components 4. Use diagnostic equipment, software and specialised repair tools to identify device faults
- Perform functional testing and quality checks before returning repaired devices to customers 6. Complete software installation, updates and basic troubleshooting where required to support device functionality 7. Record diagnostic findings, repair work completed and replacement parts used
- Maintain repair tools, equipment and replacement component stock 9. Explain repair findings, available options, costs and expected turnaround times to customers 10. Complete repairs in accordance with company quality standards and workplace safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised and protected repair workspace Candidate Requirements 1. Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma in Electronics, Computer Hardware, Information Technology, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience repairing mobile phones, tablets or comparable electronic devices 3. Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing hardware faults using specialised tools and diagnostic equipment 4. Strong knowledge of electronic components, hardware testing and fault-finding techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills 6. Strong communication and customer service abilities 7. Ability to manage multiple repairs and meet expected turnaround times
