Your new role

You will play a key role in maintaining the school's facilities. Ensuring that all buildings, grounds, and learning environments are safe, fully operational, and presented to a high standard at all times. This position is essential in supporting the day-to-day running of the school, contributing to a positive and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include the following:

- General maintenance of upkeep for classrooms, offices, and common areas
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and repairs
- Ensuring the grounds and buildings are safe, functional, and visually well-presented
- Identify hazards and ensure all work is completed in line with safety regulations and school policies.




- You will take a proactive approach to identifying issues, completing routine maintenance, and supporting the wider facilities team when required.

What you'll need to succeed

- Proven experience in a Handy Person or maintenance role
- Strong practical skills in general maintenance, including carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, and basic electrical work
- A proactive, reliable, and hands-on approach
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Carpentry experience, while not necessary, is highly regarded
