Guildford Grammar School are seeking two passionate and experienced Head Coaches to inspire, develop, and lead either our Boys’ or Girls’ Water Polo Program for the upcoming summer season.
The ideal candidate will possess strong qualifications and experience in Water Polo, with a commitment to developing our players both on and off the field.

About the Role The successful applicant will be responsible for the design and delivery of either the Boys’ or Girls’ Water Polo Program, including training sessions, gameday coaching, and overall athlete development. Working closely with the Director or Sport and Sport Administrators, you will create a supportive and high-performing team workplace that reflects the values of Guildford Grammar School, Water Polo WA and the PSA sporting framework. Key Responsibilities:
Coach and mentor teams during training sessions and matches.
Mentor and support Junior Coaches
Develop and implement training plans tailored to the skill levels and further development of the students.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive culture leaving behind a legacy in the Guildford Grammar Water Polo program.
Work closely with the Director of Sport and Sport Administrators to support talented players in achieving both team and individual success.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during training and fixtures.

Monday and Wednesday 3.30 PM – 5.30PM (Junior Training)
Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM (Seniors Training)
Friday, 12.30PM – 3.3oPM (Juniors Fixtures)
Saturday mornings (Seniors Fixtures) Girls Training Schedule and Fixtures:
Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM (Seniors Training)
Wednesday 3.30 PM – 5.30PM (Junior Training)
Friday 12.30 PM – 3.30 PM (Junior Training)
Sundays PM (Seniors & Juniors Fixtures) About you:
Strong knowledge of Water Polo and proven coaching techniques, preferably with school-aged or youth athletes
Coaching accreditation preferred
Ability to inspire and motivate young athletes.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive sporting environment.
The right to work in Australia.
Police Check (dated within the last 6 months).
Current Working with Children Check.
Ability to build rapport with students and colleagues within the Sports Department and across the School
