Applications Close: 27 July 2026 – 11:59pm About the role We are seeking to fill a full time position for the Health Information Scanning Team Lead. The right candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, teamwork, attention to detail and a proven ability to take the lead in scanning and indexing documents, accurate data entry and retrieval, tracking and follow‑up of missing or incomplete records, meeting deadlines, and respect for patient privacy & confidentiality. Responsibilities include answering phone calls/requests, completing fax requests, marking discharge paperwork, helping consumers who present to reception, preparing paperwork for scanning, scanning prepared paperwork, quality checking scanned paperwork, validating quality‑checked paperwork, auditing validated paperwork, and attending to other tasks as assigned by the Manager. Our work hours are typically 08:00–16:30. Working hours are flexible within reason and a full‑time employee will have one rostered day off each month.
We offer on‑the‑job training complemented by My Health Learning online courses.
Mentoring by the Health Information Manager and performance development are based on agreed objectives and regular performance reviews. The successful applicant will work within a small team of 10, including Health Information Clerks, a Medicolegal Officer, Ward & Outpatient clerks, Data Integrity Managers, Clinical Coders, and a Health Information Manager.
