We are looking for two experienced Heavy Machinery Fitter to join our WA team, maintaining and repairing a wide-ranging fleet of mobile plant (cranes, excavators, etc) and specialised piling rigs (Enteco, Bauer, Soilmec, etc).
This role suits someone who enjoys fault-finding, can respond calmly to breakdowns and is willing to work regular overtime and travel away when required (including occasional FIFO work).
What you’ll be doing
- Preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs
- Hydraulic, electrical and mechanical diagnostics
- Breakdown support with a focus on minimising downtime
- Machinery overhauls and modifications
- Reading hydraulic schematics and repairing pumps, cylinders and valves
- Maintaining basic service and repair records
What we’re looking for
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Fitter
- Around 4–5 years’ experience with heavy earthmoving equipment or mobile plant
- Strong fault-finding and hydraulic knowledge
- Honest, dependable and safety-focused
- Willingness to learn piling equipment and specialised machinery
- Availability for overtime and away work
Experience with CAT, Cummins, Deutz Volvo,
Soilmec or Bauer machines will be highly regarded.
Required licences and tickets
- MR driver’s licence or higher
- Forklift licence
- Dogging licence
- EWP licence
- White Card
- Crane ticket (desirable but not essential)
- Working at Heights
