About the role

ESP Finance and Property is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Home Loan Processor to join our growing team in Maitland, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our mortgage operations, ensuring that loan applications are processed efficiently and accurately from submission through to settlement. As a Home Loan Processor, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end processing of residential mortgage applications, liaising with clients, lenders, solicitors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely loan completion.

This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellent customer service and operational excellence in the mortgages sector.

Key responsibilities

1. Receiving, reviewing and verifying all required documentation for home loan applications
2. Preparing comprehensive loan application packages and submitting these to relevant lenders for assessment
3. Communicating with clients to request additional information or clarification on their applications
4. Liaising with lenders, solicitors, valuers and other service providers to facilitate loan progress
5. Conducting thorough compliance checks to ensure all applications meet regulatory requirements and lending criteria
6. Preparing settlement documents and coordinating settlement processes with all parties involved
7. Maintaining accurate and organised records of all loan applications and associated documentation
8. Identifying potential issues or delays and proactively resolving these to keep applications on track
9. Providing regular updates to clients regarding the status of their loan applications

Processing final loan conditions and ensuring all requirements are satisfied prior to settlement

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working as a home loan processor or in a similar mortgage processing role, preferably within Australia
2. Robust knowledge of the Australian mortgage lending process, including regulatory requirements and compliance obligations
3. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and errors in documentation
4. Proficiency in using mortgage processing software and loan management systems
5. Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously
6. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with diverse stakeholders
7. A thorough understanding of privacy legislation and data protection requirements
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
9. Customer service excellence and commitment to delivering a high-quality experience
10. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and strong computer literacy
11. Relevant qualifications or certifications in mortgage broking, finance or related fields would be advantageous
