HR Advisor – Systems & Administration

Propel Marine is seeking an organised and proactive HR Advisor to join our growing People & Culture team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building productive systems, improving processes and delivering exceptional HR administration. You'll play a key role in supporting our people while driving the continued development and automation of our HR and payroll systems.

About the Role

Reporting to the People & Culture Coordinator, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day administration of our HR function while identifying opportunities to improve the way we work. A major focus will be the ongoing development of Employment Hero, ensuring our HR and payroll processes are efficient, compliant and deliver a positive employee experience.

Working closely with leaders across the business, you'll support the full employee lifecycle while maintaining accurate records, improving documentation and implementing smarter, more streamlined ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

· Administer and continuously improve Employment Hero HRIS and Payroll.

· Identify and implement HR and payroll process improvements and automation.

· Maintain employee records, contracts, position descriptions and HR documentation.

· Coordinate recruitment administration, onboarding, offboarding and employee lifecycle processes.

· Assist with payroll administration and reporting.

· Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, templates and workflows.

· Produce HR reports and workforce analytics.

· Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies and HR best practice.





· Partner with managers to provide day-to-day HR support and improve people processes across the business.

About You

You enjoy creating order from complexity, have excellent attention to detail and take pride in delivering high-quality work. You are comfortable working across multiple priorities, enjoy improving systems and are confident building strong working relationships with managers and employees.

You'll ideally have

· Experience in HR Administration, HR Advisory or People & Culture.

· Experience administering HRIS platforms, with Employment Hero highly regarded.

· Payroll administration experience.

· Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle administration.

· Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills.

· Experience preparing HR documentation, policies and procedures.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new systems.

· A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify smarter ways of working.
