HR/IR Contractor

- Immediate Start
- From $75 per hour (dependant on skills and experience)
- Full-Time or Part-Time (approximate 8 week engagement)
- Flexible Engagement: PAYG or ABN
- Flexible Work Location: Work from Home, Sydney CBD or Northern Beaches

Are you an experienced HR/IR professional with a strong understanding of the Australian employment landscape, compliance, and workplace governance? We are seeking a hands-on HR/IR Contractor to support a focused People & Culture compliance and improvement program. This role will partner closely with our People & Culture, Payroll and Executive Teams to review, strengthen, and update key people practices, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, audit findings and contemporary HR best practice.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, you will be engaged on a short-term project to:

- Review and update organisational HR/WHS policies to ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation, standards, best practice and audit requirements
- Review workplace and HR/WHS audit findings and implement priority actions across payroll, employment relations and work health and safety functions
- Develop and enhance HR/WHS policies, procedures, guides and supporting frameworks
- Assess existing HR documentation and frameworks, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Provide advice and recommendations on compliance, governance and people-related risk management
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gain alignment and engagement

About You You are a pragmatic HR/IR professional who enjoys improving systems,



strengthening compliance and delivering tangible outcomes. You can quickly engage stakeholders, build confidence in your recommendations, and gain the support required to implement practical improvements within a short-term project workplace.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Demonstrated experience in Human Resources and Industrial Relations within the Australian employment legislative environment.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Work, employment legislation and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Sound understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and obligations.
- Experience leading HR-related projects, reviews or organisational improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional written communication skills, including policy and procedure development.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities within agreed deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
