Macarthur Legal Centre (MLC) is a not-for-profit community legal centre committed to building a safe and fair community where people know their rights and are supported to use them. We provide free legal, tenancy, and domestic and family violence support services in the Macarthur region and beyond. We're committed to building a workplace where people feel valued, supported and connected.
Guided by our values of Integrity, Excellence and Collaboration, we work together to create positive outcomes for our community and each other.
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Management Team on a 12-month fixed-term parental leave contract, working 3-4 days per week. The next phase focuses on embedding these foundations and continuing to build sustainable HR, leadership and performance frameworks that support our people and our mission.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage MLC's HR function. Partner with managers to provide practical advice and support on employee relations, performance and workplace matters. Lead recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities.
Build, embed and continuously improve HR policies, systems and frameworks. Manage employee records, HR systems and reporting, and support payroll administration. Drive initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, staff wellbeing and workplace culture.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation,
the SCHADS Award and organisational requirements. Contribute to strategic planning as a member of the Management Team.
