We are currently seeking a HR Licensed Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our dedicated Team in Dandenong South. In this role, you will deliver building supplies throughout Melbourne.
What you will be doing:
- Safe, skilled, and timely delivery/pick up of goods to and from various site locations
- Operate heavy rigid (HR) truck
- Delivery & pick up around the Melbourne areas with some country work.
- Some warehouse duties from time to time
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections
- Effectively secure freight load to ensure successful delivery
- Perform manual unloading of goods
- Transport products safely
- Follow company policies and procedures, including WHS and transport legislation
- Perform some warehouse duties from time to time.
- Complete all training and compliance tasks as required
You will bring with you:
- Current VIC HR Manual
- Driver Licence – Mandatory
- Experience loading and unloading equipment using correct restraint
- A commitment to the importance of safety – you are an expert on the chain of responsibility.
- Good customer service & communication skills
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
- Forklift License would be highly advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of Melbourne metro routes.
