We're partnering with a well-regarded local government organisation seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer for an immediate start on an initial 3-month temp role.

This is a hands-on HR generalist role supporting the full employee lifecycle in a fast-paced environment. You'll be part of a collaborative HR team providing high-quality operational support while driving process improvements and ensuring a seamless employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the first point of contact for HR enquiries across the employee lifecycle.
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for internal and agency appointments.
- Monitor and manage critical employment milestones including contract end dates, probation reviews and salary reviews.
- Prepare HR reports, undertake research and analyse workforce data.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

About You:

- Previous experience in a Human Resources Officer or HR Coordinator role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience using HRIS and other digital systems.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach.
