Industrial Relations Specialist | South Western Sydney, onsite role | 3 months with potential extension | up to 120k equivalent An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Industrial Relations Specialist to join a well-established manufacturing organisation on an initial 3-month temporary contract.
Reporting to the HR leadership team, you will play a key role in managing industrial relations matters, supporting union engagement, providing expert advice to stakeholders, and contributing to a range of workforce-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist industrial relations advice and guidance to leaders and stakeholders
- Support union negotiations, consultations, and dispute resolution activities
- Attend and contribute to stakeholder, employee, and union meetings
- Prepare reports, insights, and recommendations for HR leadership
- Interpret and apply enterprise agreements, awards, and employment legislation
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business
About You
- Demonstrated experience in an Industrial Relations or Employee Relations role
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
- Experience working with unions and managing negotiations
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
- Ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced workplace and provide practical commercial advice
- Manufacturing, industrial, or blue-collar workforce experience will be highly regarded
