HVACR Service & Installation Technician

Location: Chipping Norton, NSW Salary: $48–$55 per hour + Super + Company Vehicle

About the Role

A growing HVAC contractor based in Chipping Norton is seeking an experienced HVACR Service & Installation Technician to join its expanding team. The business delivers residential and commercial air conditioning solutions across Greater Sydney, with an increasing presence in construction and larger-scale developments.

This position offers a varied mix of service, maintenance, fault finding, repairs, installations and commissioning across homes, apartment developments, townhouses, commercial buildings, warehouses and construction projects.

You will be trusted to manage your own workload while receiving support from an experienced management and technical team.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance
- Attend reactive breakdowns and diagnose faults
- Complete repairs and component replacements
- Install recent residential and commercial HVAC systems
- Complete system upgrades and replacements
- Pressure test, vacuum and commission equipment
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
- Complete service reports and job documentation
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety
- Support and mentor apprentices where required

Systems You’ll Work On

- Split systems
- Multi-split systems
- Ducted air conditioning
- VRV and VRF systems
- Cassette units




- Floor console systems
- Ventilation and exhaust systems
- Air filtration systems
- Commercial and construction HVAC systems

About You

- Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Current Restricted Electrical Licence
- Full Australian Driver’s Licence
- White Card
- Experience servicing and installing residential HVAC systems
- Commercial HVAC experience is highly regarded
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Able to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
