Seeking an ICT Systems Administrator
Technology plays a critical role in everything we do at Ivanhoe Grammar School. We're seeking an experienced ICT Systems Administrator to help ensure our infrastructure is secure, reliable and ready to support the learning and operational needs of our School community.
Working as part of our Information Technology Services team, you'll be hands-on across our enterprise technology environment, supporting Microsoft 365, Windows Server, VMware, networking, cloud infrastructure and cyber security. From maintaining critical systems and responding to complex technical issues, to contributing to infrastructure projects and technology improvements, you'll enjoy a role that offers technical variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work with modern enterprise technologies.
This is a full-time, ongoing position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. While the role primarily operates during business hours, occasional after-hours work is required to support planned maintenance and critical system updates.We are looking to welcome the successful candidate to the team as soon as practicable,
with flexibility around the commencement date to accommodate notice periods and support a smooth transition.
What You Will Do
As a key member of the Skilled Services team, reporting to the Director of Systems and Infrastructure, you will:
- Maintain and support the School's enterprise server, network and cloud infrastructure across multiple campuses.
- Administer Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, VMware, Active Directory and related technologies.
- Monitor system performance, cyber security, backups and disaster recovery to ensure reliable and secure services.
- Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure issues while providing advanced technical support.
- Contribute to infrastructure upgrades, technology projects and the ongoing evolution of the School's ICT environment.
- Work closely with colleagues, technology vendors and external partners to deliver reliable, high-quality technology services.

You're someone who enjoys understanding how technology fits together. You like solving technical problems, improving systems and working across a diverse technology environment where no two days are quite the same.
You'll Bring
- Experience supporting enterprise Microsoft server, cloud and networking environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, VMware and related infrastructure technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure security, backup, disaster recovery and systems administration.
- A methodical approach to troubleshooting, with the ability to prioritise and resolve complex technical issues.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to colleagues and vendors.
- Relevant IT qualifications (or equivalent experience), a Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one), and a commitment to child safety.
