Infraworks is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our team supporting a major food manufacturing operation in Botany.
Working 8 hours per day Mon-Fri , you’ll play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, responding to breakdowns and supporting safe, productive production across the site.
You’ll work closely with production, maintenance and engineering teams in a quick-paced manufacturing environment where your technical capability, troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently will be highly valued.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity suited to an industrial electrician who enjoys hands-on maintenance work, takes ownership and wants long-term stability within a well-supported operation.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Acting as the primary electrical support , responding to breakdowns and plant issues
- Troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation faults to minimise downtime and production disruption
- Maintaining plant functionality, reliability and equipment availability across the site
- Completing preventative maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules
- Directing and supervising contractor support resources when required
- Supporting production and maintenance teams through effective shift handovers and prioritisation of electrical works
- Working with engineering teams to identify and implement equipment improvements and reliability initiatives
- Monitoring equipment performance and contributing to continuous improvement activities
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with GMP, HACCP and site safety requirements
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, documentation and adherence to site procedures
About you
You’re a capable industrial electrician who thrives in a manufacturing environment and takes pride in solving problems properly the first time.
You’ll bring
- Current Electrical Licence
- Strong industrial maintenance experience, ideally within food manufacturing or a continuous production environment
- Solid fault-finding and troubleshooting capability across industrial electrical systems
- Instrumentation experience and exposure to PLC systems such as Allen Bradley, Modicon and Siemens
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Robust communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production, engineering and maintenance teams
- A proactive mindset with strong attention to safety, reliability and quality
- You’ll be someone who stays calm under pressure, adapts quickly to changing priorities and takes ownership of outcomes on shift
- Full Australian working rights
Desirable (Highly Regarded)
- Industrial Electronics and/or Control qualifications
- EWP Ticket, Forklift Licence, and Confined Space Certification
- Prior experience with automated systems or production machinery
