About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Infrastructure/Cyber Consultant to play a critical role in designing, implementing, and securing enterprise technology solutions based in Sydney for 12 months contract initially with possible extensions.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives across multiple technology domains. You'll bring broad expertise spanning Cloud, Infrastructure, Networking, and Cyber Security, with the prospect to influence technology direction while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to business objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

Review, interpret, and respond to business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with current and future technology capabilities.

Design, build, test, and implement infrastructure and security solutions across the technology landscape.

Drive technology delivery activities and provide reporting against project commitments and timelines.

Own and continuously improve delivery lifecycle processes, including requirements gathering, solution design, approvals, implementation, and operational handover.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with technology strategy and cybersecurity requirements.

Identify and manage system, infrastructure, and project interdependencies to support successful delivery outcomes.

Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of security posture, threat detection capabilities, and operational resilience.

Infrastructure & Security

Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.

Expertise in Windows Server environments, including IIS configuration and administration.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Intune.

Experience managing active/passive infrastructure environments.

Experience with Cyber Security and Threat Detection platforms.

DevOps & Automation

Experience managing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.

Strong PowerShell scripting capabilities.

Knowledge of automation and infrastructure deployment best practices.

About You

You'll be an experienced infrastructure and security professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution. You will have:

6+ years' experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a similar role.

A proven track record delivering secure, scalable technology solutions in Azure environments.

Strong understanding of enterprise governance, documentation, and operational best practices.

Experience working across cross-functional teams and managing third-party vendors.

Exposure to Cyber Security threat detection, monitoring, and optimization initiatives.

Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and integration patterns.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Nice to Have

Experience with Darktrace or similar Cyber Security platforms.

Exposure to Contact Centre and Customer Experience technologies such as Genesys, NICE, or similar platforms.

Financial services industry experience.
