Our client, Thales Australia's Airspace Mobility Solutions business, delivers leading Air Traffic Management, Unmanned Traffic Management, Security and Digital Aviation solutions across Commercial and Defence sectors.
The Role
Due to continued program delivery, our client is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to support the successful integration and testing of complex Air Traffic Management systems. This role sits within the Systems Engineering discipline and will initially support the OneSKY program, delivering a Civil Military Air Traffic Management System for Australia. You will define, implement and support systems integration activities across multiple platforms, ensuring systems and subsystems are integrated successfully and delivered in line with project milestones.
Duties / Responsibilities · Conduct integration and testing of incremental software releases across systems and subsystems. · Set up and manage environments to support integration, testing, validation and acceptance activities. · Define and support test activities across regression, interface, simulation and test tool environments. · Analyse system and subsystem technical issues, ensuring they are identified, captured and resolved early. · Collaborate with Systems,
Subsystem and Infrastructure teams to ensure integration aligns with design and specifications. · Produce integration documentation and engineering artefacts, including System Integration Test Documentation. · Support and review technical documentation produced by junior integrators. · Develop scripts to automate system administration activities. · Manage and support test and measurement tools for performance, load and response-time assessment. · Provide technical support to junior integrators and Verification & Validation teams. · Support Technical Leads and Work Package Managers with risk identification, planning and delivery improvements. · Promote knowledge sharing and support continuous improvement across integration practices.
What Our Client Requires
Essential · Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline. · Minimum 5 years' experience integrating complex software-centric real-time systems. · Strong experience troubleshooting virtualisation platforms, operating systems and client/server environments. · Experience with UNIX/Linux, Windows and VMWare environments. · Scripting experience using Python, Shell and XML. · Experience with DevOps and automation tools such as Ansible and Jenkins. · Configuration management experience using Git, Bitbucket and Jira.
· Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts including LDAP, Active Directory and PKI. · Network protocol experience including SNMP, UDP, TCP and IP. · Experience using debugging tools such as Wireshark. · Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools such as Zabbix. · Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly. · Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams across local and remote locations. · Capable of gaining NV1 Clearance.
