Role Description This part time remote Integration Engineer / API Developer role at Vattio Energía solar focuses on designing, building, and maintaining integrations between internal systems, third-party platforms, and solar energy management solutions. The person in this role will develop and document APIs, implement data flows, and ensure secure, reliable communication between services. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing integration requirements, writing clean and maintainable code, testing and debugging integrations, and monitoring performance and reliability.

The role also involves collaborating with product, operations, and engineering teams to gather technical requirements, propose integration solutions, and support deployment and maintenance.

The Integration

Engineer / API Developer will contribute to continuous improvement by optimizing existing integrations, enhancing automation, and maintaining technical documentation and best practices.

Qualifications

Strong Analytical Skills and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose issues, evaluate system behavior, and design effective solutions.





Proficiency in Software Development with experience building APIs, using modern programming languages, and working with RESTful and/or GraphQL services.

Experience in Integration of systems and services, including data mapping, transformation, and workflow automation across multiple platforms.

Background in Systems Engineering, with an understanding of distributed systems, cloud environments, and system performance considerations.

Familiarity with API gateways, authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT), and secure data exchange practices.

Experience working with databases, message queues, and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience;

experience in the energy or solar sector is a plus.
