We’re Hiring: Interior Designer – Residential Full time | Brisbane | Interior Design - Residential Contribute to beautifully resolved residential interiors within a cooperative design studio. At Carr, great design is shaped by curiosity, rigour and collaboration. We’re seeking a talented Residential Interior Designer to support exceptional client outcomes across all stages of the design process, from concept and planning to documentation, scheduling and presentation.

Working with Senior Interior Designers, Associates and project teams, you’ll help evolve design concepts, prepare documentation and presentations, and uphold Carr’s standards of design excellence, technical clarity and delivery.

What you'll do As our Residential Interior Designer, you’ll support the following interior design project outcomes:

Assisting the Senior Interior Designer and/or Associate in evolving conceptual design and planning in line with the Carr design philosophy

Preparing space planning, test fitting and schematic design schemes

Undertaking research to support the technical feasibility of design concepts and project outcomes

Preparing design development presentations and documentation as part of the design process

Preparing tender and construction documentation packages, including drawings, schedules and accurate project-related documentation

Developing positive working relationships with clients, suppliers and consultants

Supporting junior team members and contributing to knowledge sharing across the team

Participating in marketing, business development activities and the broader promotion of Carr





Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products and materials and contributing to the accuracy of Carr’s image and product library

Contributing to systems improvement and development

Adhering to quality control, risk management and company policy requirements, including Carr’s Quality, Safety and Environment System What you bring We’re looking for someone who is:

3+ years of demonstrated experience in residential interior design and strong conceptual design and planning skills

End-to-end experience preparing presentations, drawings, schedules and documentation packages across project stages

Advanced graphic and 3D interior design skills, including Revit, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite

Ability to manage deadlines, priorities and project detail with care

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively with clients, consultants and internal teams

Ability to identify issues early and assist in providing considered, solutions-oriented responses

Responsive to changing project needs and comfortable working in a fast-paced design environment A client-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced studio environment

Understanding of the importance of delivering excellent outcomes while working within project programs,
