We're partnering with an established and growing financial services business that is looking for a Senior Systems & Project Engineer to join its Sydney based technology team.

This is a hands-on infrastructure role with a strong project focus. You will work across cloud, workplace technology, security, operational resilience and business integration initiatives within a regulated, international environment.

The role would suit an experienced systems or infrastructure engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects from planning through to implementation, while remaining close to the technology.

What you’ll be working on

- Delivering infrastructure projects across Azure, Microsoft 365 and Intune
- Migrating users, devices, applications and infrastructure between business environments
- Supporting security, compliance and operational resilience initiatives
- Contributing to SOC 2 and DORA-related technology controls and remediation
- Improving identity, access, endpoint management, monitoring and system security
- Supporting disaster recovery and business continuity testing
- Assessing existing environments and implementing improved infrastructure solutions




- Providing some senior-level BAU support when required

About you

- Strong systems or infrastructure engineering experience
- Hands-on experience across Azure, Microsoft 365 and Intune
- Experience delivering infrastructure migrations and technology projects
- Direct exposure to SOC 2 and/or DORA is essential
- Experience within financial services, insurance, banking, fintech, payments, wealth, superannuation or another regulated environment
- A good understanding of security controls, operational resilience and technology risk
- The ability to work independently and manage several priorities
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with technical and business stakeholders

This is a broad, hands-on role within a growing international financial services business, offering genuine ownership across infrastructure, security and regulatory projects.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, gain exposure across the wider business and play an key role in strengthening the technology environment as the organisation continues to grow.
