About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Jewellery Sales Assistant to join the team at Diamonds On Broadbeach. This is a part-time position based in our store located in Broadbeach, QLD 4218. In this role, you will be the face of our luxury jewellery brand, providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge to clients seeking the perfect piece.

You will play a vital part in creating memorable shopping experiences whilst driving sales and building lasting customer relationships in a quick-paced retail setting.

Key responsibilities

1. Greet customers with warmth and professionalism, providing personalised assistance in selecting jewellery items

2. Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge, including gemstones, precious metals, and design features

3. Present jewellery collections effectively and communicate the value and craftsmanship of each piece

4. Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash and card payments securely

5. Maintain detailed customer records and follow up on inquiries to encourage repeat business

6. Keep the sales floor organised, visually appealing and ensure jewellery displays are maintained to the highest standards

7. Handle jewellery with care, following all security and storage procedures

8. Assist with stock management, including receiving, checking and replenishing inventory

What we're looking for

1. Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in luxury goods or jewellery retail

2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport with customers

3. Strong sales ability with a passion for achieving targets and exceeding customer expectations

4. Knowledge of jewellery, gemstones or precious metals is essential

5. Ability to work flexibly as part of a part-time schedule

6. Professional appearance and demeanour consistent with a luxury retail environment

7. Honest,



trustworthy and reliable with strong attention to detail

8. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

9. Basic numeracy and competence with cash handling
10. A keen interest in jewellery and fashion is desirable
