About the role

We're looking for a Junior Designer to join the team at Single Estate. This is an exciting opportunity to build a career in packaging design and branding, working across one of Australia's most design-led medicinal cannabis companies.

Single Estate is a fast-paced, collaborative workplace. No two days are the same. You'll work closely with the Design Lead across print and digital, helping to evolve our creative output.

- Hybrid work set up (1 day working from home each week).
- Our office is based in Eveleigh, within walking distance to Redfern station.

- Salary $60–70k + super, depending on experience.

We're looking for someone to:

- Design and develop high-quality medicinal cannabis packaging across multiple brands.
- Support the Design Lead in creating new brands and rolling out branded collateral including patient, product and regulatory information documents, brochures, social content, and presentation decks.
- Design creative assets for our associated clinics (social content, print, and EDM assets).
- Partner with the Design Lead to manage multiple projects and stakeholders, balancing creativity with efficiency.
- Build fluency in design problem-solving and print production from brief through to delivery, including supplier liaison, quoting, artwork preparation, pre-press checks, and proofing.
- Communicate effectively by sharing progress, raising blockers early, and responding to feedback constructively.
- Bring their sense of humour – we’re a small,



friendly team who enjoy what we do and don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Our ideal candidate has:

- 1-3 years experience in graphic design, either in-house or within a creative agency.
- A tertiary qualification in graphic design (or a related discipline), or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign), with experience using Figma.
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine curiosity for packaging design.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to take feedback on board and iterate quickly.
- Solid time management across multiple priorities.
- Strong visual communication skills and design-forward thinking.
- A proactive attitude. You’ll receive plenty of support, but you're also comfortable investigating problems and finding solutions independently.
- A fondness for dogs — we have a very friendly office pup in need of even more attention!

Nice-to-haves:

- Working knowledge of print production including artwork setup, final artwork, paper stocks, finishes, dielines and supplier coordination.
- Experience designing marketing collateral and EDMs – familiarity with Canva, Figma, Shopify and/or Mailchimp.
- An interest in (or existing knowledge of) Australia's medicinal cannabis industry.
