We are seeking a motivated Junior Network Engineer to join our National Service Desk team, providing provisioning, support, and lifecycle management services across a diverse enterprise and managed services environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to build hands-on experience across modern networking, SD-WAN, security, cloud communications, and endpoint security technologies while working within a collaborative operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision, configure, and support network and communications services for customers nationwide.
- Assist with onboarding, deployment, and migration activities across network, security, and unified communications platforms.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Perform initial diagnosis, escalation, and coordination of network-related faults.
- Manage service requests, changes, and documentation through ITSM platforms.
- Support hardware and software provisioning activities, including device staging and configuration.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, vendors, carriers, and customer stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, network records, and knowledge base articles.
Technology Exposure The successful candidate will gain practical experience supporting and provisioning solutions across:
- Ericsson Cradlepoint – LTE/5G edge networking and branch connectivity.
- Arista / VeloCloud SD-WAN – WAN deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Palo Alto Networks – Firewall administration and security policy management.
- CrowdStrike Falcon – Endpoint security monitoring and support.
- Cisco Webex – Unified communications and collaboration services.
- Microsoft Teams Calling – Voice, telephony,
and calling platform administration.
- General enterprise networking technologies including routing, switching, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, and network troubleshooting.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Graduate degree in Engineering (Communications, Networking or ICT) essential
- Solid foundation knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Knowledge of routing, switching, wireless networking, and internet connectivity.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a quick-paced environment.
Desirable
- Exposure to SD-WAN, firewall, or cloud networking technologies.
- Experience with Internet troublehsooting across NBN, fibre, wireless
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms.
- Experience working within an MSP, service desk, or NOC environment.
- Relevant certifications or studies such as CCNA, Network , AZ-900, or equivalent.
- ITIL Certification and experience
