As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development & Office Manager to establish and strengthen our presence in Darwin. About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role that offers the opportunity to make a real impact. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will drive business growth, establish strong community partnerships, and lead the daily operations of our Darwin office.
You will oversee business development, participant onboarding, operational management, office administration, workforce support, and compliance while working closely with participants, families, referral partners, and internal teams. Your leadership will help deliver high-quality services, improve operational efficiency, and support the ongoing expansion of Carelink Support Services
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategic Growth
- Develop and implement business development strategies to increase participant referrals, attract new clients, and drive sustainable business growth across the Northern Territory.
- Build and maintain robust referral partnerships with Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators (LACs), hospitals, allied health professionals, discharge planners, aged care providers, and community organisations.
- Promote Carelink Support Services through networking, community engagement, marketing initiatives, expos, and industry events to generate referrals and strengthen the organisation's market presence.
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities by conducting consultations with prospective participants and their families, assessing support needs,
explaining NDIS services and funding, and preparing service agreements, proposals, and partnership documentation.
- Manage the participant onboarding process from initial enquiry through to service commencement, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and completed within required timeframes.
- Collaborate with rostering and operational teams to ensure the timely commencement of supports and deliver a positive participant experience that encourages long-term engagement.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to strengthen referral networks, expand the client base, and achieve business development targets.
Business Operations & Office Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Darwin office, ensuring efficient office administration, effective resource management, and continuous improvement of systems, procedures, and workflows.
- Lead, mentor, and support administration staff while assisting with recruitment, onboarding, workforce compliance, and HR administration.
- Coordinate office facilities, equipment, supplies, record management, and document control to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Prepare operational, business performance, and management reports, and assist with budgeting, resource planning, and other operational improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards, Quality Indicators, organisational policies, and legislative requirements by monitoring participant documentation, service delivery, incident reporting, corrective actions, and audit readiness.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with participants, families, carers, Support Coordinators, and other stakeholders, resolving operational issues professionally while collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality participant outcomes.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability,
continuous improvement, and represent Carelink Support Services professionally to strengthen the organisation's reputation and support ongoing growth.
About You
The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with strong business development and operational management skills. They will be relationship-focused, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes while supporting the organisation's continued growth.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum three years' experience in Business Development, Office Management, Operations, Service Coordination, or a similar leadership role.
- Experience within the NDIS, disability, healthcare, aged care, or community services sector.
- Demonstrated ability to develop referral networks and achieve business growth.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Current Working with Children Check.
