The Integrated Family Services (IFS) Support Worker provides a case management service for children, young people and their parents.
MASP is a not-for-profit organisation located in Mildura, Victoria and is seeking to fill a full time ongoing position.
The Integrated Family Services (IFS) Support Worke r provides a case management service for children, young people and their parents.
This includes working with families to develop initial case plans that work to ensure an environment of safety, security, family stability and age-appropriate development of children based on the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing Best Interests of the Child and Stability Planning case practice models.
Expected commencing salary of $82,415.00per annum plus statutory superannuation. Because MASP is a non-profit organisation, you also have the option to maximise your income through salary packaging.
This role can involve emotionally demanding situations and exposure to psychological hazards, including client distress, trauma disclosures, and urgent responses. MASP prioritises staff wellbeing by providing supervision, debriefing, reflective practice, safety measures, and access to wellbeing resources. We encourage open communication—raise any concerns with your supervisor, management, or the OHS Committee as soon as possible.
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential role-specific skills, knowledge and experience
- Possession of the mandatory qualification.
- Skills in case management working with vulnerable children, young people and their families including those from CALD and indigenous communities.
- Highly developed assessment skills, capacity to apply a range of intervention strategies, effective problem-solving skills,
highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the CY&F; Act 2005.
- Experience working with other professionals, government and non-government agencies and services.
- Good working knowledge of child and adolescent development theory and practice.
- Experience using software related to case recording and statistics.
- Possession of effective organisational and time management skills.
- Sound negotiation and assertiveness skills.
