IVMS Australia is a specialist contractor delivering vegetation management around overhead powerlines across the Northern Territory. Established in 2018, we provide high‑quality contract management, safe field operations, and a positive, secure work environment for our staff and contractors.

We are seeking a capable and experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of day‑to‑day operational delivery across our NT vegetation management programs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on operational setting and can keep field activities, compliance, reporting, and client coordination running smoothly. You will work closely with the Directors, who remain involved at a strategic level, while you lead the operational execution.

The Role

Reporting to the Directors, the Operations Manager is responsible for:

- Ensuring all contractual KPIs are met or exceeded

- Managing and overseeing all contracts to ensure compliance, client satisfaction, efficiency and profitability

- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and managing all enquiries and expectations

- Ensuring work quality meets contractual requirements and company standards

- Planning and coordinating daily tasks for field and administration staff

- Attending client meetings, maintaining agendas/minutes, and ensuring action items are completed

- Conducting performance reviews and setting development targets for staff

- Promoting a systematic approach to Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management





- Completing monthly reporting in line with client and internal requirements

- Providing excellent customer service and following up client enquiries within 24 hours

- Creating a positive team environment and supporting strong morale across staff and contractors

- Managing fleet performance, suitability, and readiness

This role is central to the smooth running of IVMS operations. You will be the person who ensures the work gets done safely, efficiently, and to standard — while the Directors focus on strategy, growth, and high‑level client engagement.

Experience Required

- Previous leadership or management experience

- Extensive operational experience in contracts, customer and client management

- Strong organisational and workforce planning capability

- Experience with management systems (Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental)

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook) and ArcGIS databases

- Knowledge of the PWC Power Network and operations (highly desirable)

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Operations Management or a similar operational role

- Diploma in Arboriculture or Electrical (desirable)

- Certificate IV (or higher) in Business and/or Frontline Management (desirable)
