About the role

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping learning, capability, and organisational development across the employee lifecycle. You will lead initiatives spanning onboarding, performance, engagement, leadership development, coaching, mentoring, talent pathways, and culture uplift.

As the Learning & Organisational Development Manager, you will play a critical role in building a skilled, compliant, and future-ready workforce. You will design and deliver high-quality learning programs, lead the annual performance evaluation and development planning program, and manage the Ekka Workforce student placement program. You will also lead culture and capability initiatives that strengthen organisational effectiveness and employee experience.

You will further play a key role in embedding coaching, mentoring, and HBDI (Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument) frameworks to enhance leadership capability, self-awareness, and team effectiveness across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will:

- Develop, coordinate and deliver the organisation’s annual Learning and Development program
- Design and implement organisational development initiatives aligned to strategy, values and culture
- Lead capability development programs that strengthen operational excellence and workforce sustainability
- Embed coaching and mentoring frameworks to support leadership development and talent growth
- Utilise HBDI (Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument) to enhance leadership capability, communication and team effectiveness
- Manage the ongoing annual performance management program, ensuring alignment, consistency and continuous improvement




- Lead employee engagement survey debriefs and support leaders to develop and implement meaningful action plans
- Manage student, trainee and apprenticeship programs, including those delivered through major events such as Ekka
- Develop skills-based learning pathways aligned to industry and role-specific competencies, including hospitality and event environments
- Build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships to ensure programs remain contemporary and effective
- Ensure learning systems, reporting and compliance requirements are accurately maintained

What you’ll bring

You are a confident, credible and solutions-focused Learning & Development / Organisational Development skilled who thrives in energetic environments and can influence at all levels.

You will also bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Organisational Psychology, Business, Learning & Development or related field
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
- 3–5+ years’ experience in Learning & Development or Organisational Development
- Proven delivery of people programs across onboarding, performance, engagement and leadership development
- Experience implementing coaching and mentoring programs
- Familiarity or experience using HBDI (Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument) or similar psychometric tools
- Strong LMS capability with confidence in data analysis and reporting
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
