Permanent Full-Time Position - 9AM to 5PM Monday to Friday– Mt Kuring-gai, NSW Location About Slade: Slade Health is a national provider of aseptically compounded chemotherapy, antibiotics and analgesic medicines. It operates TGA Licensed manufacturing facilities in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and a MedSafe licensed manufacturing facility in New Zealand.
About the Role: This role of Laboratory Technician will be part of Slade Health’s scientific team and work in Slade Health’s laboratory. In this role your work will support the compounded products and manufacturing activities of Slade Health’s compounding facilities.
Key Responsibilities: In this position you will be involved in: Performing sample collection, handling, and preparation for downstream analytical testing
Perform routine and non-routine analysis related to stability studies of complex biological molecules (monoclonal antibodies and antibody drug conjugates), and simple chemical molecules (cytotoxics, antibiotics and analgesics)
Support ongoing calibration and certification activities
Operate, calibrate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot basic analytical instruments.
Sampling and preparation of samples for further testing and analysis
Participating in method validation and execution of analytical and biological test methods
Recording, interpreting, and reporting analytical results in compliance with QA/QC requirements
Establishing, maintaining,
and reviewing laboratory and workstation quality records
Ensuring instrumentation reliability through regular troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
Supporting all phases of electronic and physical laboratory record management
Following documented procedures to maintain compliance with accreditation standards
Testing and assessing drug infusion devices to ensure performance meets specification
Maintain the quality of laboratory instrumentation and perform preventative maintenance as needed.

Maintain control of supply inventory
Monitoring and maintaining consumable and reagent inventory What we are looking for: Candidate must have a degree in chemistry/biochemistry/molecular biology, or other biological/analytical discipline.
You will ideally be familiar with the strict requirements of GMP.
You will be able to prioritise workloads to ensure that desired outcomes are achieved to challenging deadlines.
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
You will have good attention to detail, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
Essential Required
Experience in working in testing laboratories
Experience in biochemistry/chemistry/molecular biology Desirable Experience working with one or more of following methods: ELISA, SDS-PAGE, UV-Vis, and cell-based assays.
Experience in a similar role would be highly regarded
Experience with analytical techniques like HPLC (SEC, HIC, CIEX, RP), capillary electrophoresis, SDS CE and particle counting, microscopy will be a plus.
Understanding of basic scientific principles and theories for plate based immunological methods like ELISA, protein binding assays, chromatographic methods This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight (Mon–Fri).
