About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Labourer to join the team at Kitchens by Matric. This is a full-time position based in Thomastown VIC 3074. As a Labourer, you will play an essential role in supporting our operations, assisting with various tasks across our kitchen manufacturing and installation projects. This hands-on position requires physical capability, reliability, and a willingness to contribute to our team's success on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

1. Assist with the preparation, handling, and transportation of materials and equipment on job sites and within the workshop
2. Support skilled tradespeople in completing kitchen installations and related projects
3. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, ensuring a safe and productive environment
4. Operate machinery & basic power tools under supervision, following all safety protocols
5. Load and unload vehicles and equipment, ensuring items are transported safely
6. Assist with site setup and breakdown as required for various projects
7. Follow instructions from supervisors and senior team members promptly and professionally

What we're looking for

Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items
2. Ability to work safely and demonstrate a solid commitment to workplace health and safety standards
3. Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and commitment to attendance
4. Basic communication skills and the ability to take direction from supervisors
5. Willingness to learn and assist with various tasks as directed
6. Capacity to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
7. A valid driver's licence is essential.
