About the Role Located in the beautiful town of Lithgow, Respect Cooinda is a warm and welcoming aged care home dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred care. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive workplace culture where every team member is valued and supported.
As a Laundry Services Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring a clean, comfortable, and well-presented environment for our residents. Working in a residential aged care setting, you'll be responsible for laundering resident clothing, bedding, and facility linen while maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control.
Positions are available on a casual basis, and the successful candidate will need to be flexible to work across a range of shifts.
You’ll be joining a supportive team environment where everyone works together, and your contribution is genuinely appreciated. We also have opportunities available for Cleaning and Food Services Assistant (FSA) shifts, making this a great opportunity for candidates seeking additional hours or variety in their role. No two days are the same!
As Laundry Services Assistant you will:
- Ensure all resident personal clothing and laundry items are correctly labelled and managed.
- Safely handle, transport, and launder soiled linen and clothing in line with infection control policies and procedures.
- Use and store laundry chemicals safely, ensuring correct agents and quantities are applied for each task.
- Maintain appropriate storage, rotation, and distribution of clean linen.
- Inspect linen for quality and replacement needs, participate in infection control practices, and carry out additional duties within scope as directed.
