APNIC is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Learning & Development Advisor to join our People Capability team on a part time basis (3 days per week). Working closely with leaders, subject matter experts and stakeholders, you'll lead the design, development, delivery and evaluation of learning solutions that build capability, support employee growth and contribute to organisational performance. You're an experienced Learning & Development professional who thrives on helping people learn, grow and perform at their best. You combine strong instructional design expertise with excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills and enjoy partnering with leaders to identify capability needs and develop practical, engaging solutions. You'll likely bring:
Experience in Learning & Development, Capability or a related people-focused function.
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and contemporary learning methodologies.
Experience conducting learning needs analyses and translating business requirements into effective learning solutions.
Demonstrated capability in instructional design, content development and facilitation.
Experience developing a range of learning solutions including workshops, eLearning, blended learning programs, microlearning, video, toolkits and learner resources.
Experience with Learning technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS),
Learning Experience Platforms (LXP) or AI-enabled learning tools.
Strong stakeholder engagement and consultation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across a diverse organisation.
Experience evaluating learning effectiveness and using data and feedback to continuously improve programs.
Excellent planning, project management and organisational skills.
A collaborative, proactive and customer-focused approach.
Bonus points if you have experience with:
Organisational development and change management initiatives.
Creating and editing multimedia learning resources, including instructional videos and microlearning content.
Human-centred design or design-thinking methodologies. As the Learning & Development Advisor, you will: Partner with the Business Provide expert advice and support to leaders and stakeholders on learning, capability and development initiatives.
Conduct training needs analyses and capability assessments.
Develop learning plans and capability pathways aligned with organisational and team needs.
Design Outstanding Learning
Experiences Design, develop and maintain high-quality learning solutions using contemporary instructional design methodologies.
Create engaging learning resources across a range of formats, including:
Facilitator-led training eLearning modules Blended learning programs Presentations and videos Workbooks and guides Microlearning content Job aids and toolkits Ensure learning materials are accessible, inclusive and aligned to organisational standards.
Facilitate Learning
Programs Deliver engaging and effective learning experiences using adult learning principles.
Facilitate workshops and learning activities that build individual and team capability.
Support learning delivery across face-to-face, virtual and hybrid environments.
Lead Learning Design
Conversations Facilitate stakeholder workshops to identify learning objectives and desired performance outcomes.
Apply human-centred and design-thinking approaches to develop targeted learning solutions.
Measure
Impact and Drive Improvement Evaluate learning effectiveness, learner engagement and business outcomes.
Analyse learning data, feedback and performance metrics.
Recommend and implement continuous improvements to learning programs and systems.
Manage Learning
Projects Coordinate learning and capability initiatives from concept through to implementation and evaluation.
Manage project timelines, communications,resourcesand stakeholder involvement.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
Support
Organisation-Wide Capability Initiatives Contribute to workforce capability, career development and employee growth initiatives.
Support team development, organisational development and change management activities.
