You’ll be helping Red Cross to support vulnerable people across Australia The program The NSW Liaison Support Volunteer is a person who is a Member of Australian Red Cross, playing a senior support and coordination role within the Red Cross governance structure. The NSW Liaison Support Volunteer will naturally have responsibility for some groups in a certain geographical area, as well as the broader state as appropriate, in all matters Red Cross. The opportunity Act as a local ambassador, promoting Red Cross values, humanitarian principles, and community impact
Speak positively about Red Cross programs, services, and priorities at events, meetings, and community forums
Promote membership, volunteering, and participation across the region and across NSW
Build and maintain local relationships and community connections that support awareness, engagement,
and visibility of Red Cross initiatives Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the world’s largest humanitarian network. The impact Connect Red Cross people across the region Act as the connector between Red Cross Members, Volunteers and Programs
Promote strong two-way communication, ensuring key messages, opportunities, and updates reach all groups
Bring people together across the region through regular check-ins, networking gatherings, and online forums
Help build a sense of community, identity, and belonging within the broader Red Cross movement Application requirements For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised through Red Cross Be a current Member of Australian Red Cross for a minimum of 12 months
You will need to provide details for two professional references The role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working With Children Check.
