This well-known, Tier 1 UG mining contractor has been operating in Australia for over a decade and boasts a broad portfolio of development, ground support and production contracts on a national basis. They're currently in the busiest period in the company's history, with strong, consistent work flowing in across multiple national sites - meaning genuine job security and real opportunity for the right person to grow with the business.

The role

As a workshop Light Vehicle Mechanic, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair and rebuilding of a fleet including Toyota Land Cruisers, light trucks, generator sets, and lighting towers, before they're prepared and dispatched to active mine sites. This is a genuinely great way to build mining industry exposure from a stable, city-based workshop, with a explicit opportunity to upskill onto heavier UG mobile plant over time.

- Work with a close-knit team of experienced tradespeople
- Work on a wide range of projects and machines across the business's national contract portfolio
- Major component change-outs, rebuilds and maintenance projects, preparing machines to go out to site
- Genuine pathway to progress onto heavy UG mining equipment as you build experience

Your value

You'll be a trade qualified Automotive Mechanic with experience working on light vehicles in a workshop environment.



Toyota experience is desirable; if you don't have direct Toyota experience, 4WD experience is highly advantageous. Prior mining experience is also highly regarded, though not essential. You'll also bring:

- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and ideally rebuilds
- High level of detail and ability to deliver quality work
- Team player with a outstanding attitude towards work
- Versatile skill set and a genuine desire to develop your skills and experience further
- 4WD experience is highly advantageous
