Humpty Doo Barramundi requires a Maintenance Fitter for Fixed Plant Maintenance of farm infrastructure for Barramundi farming. Humpty Doo Barramundi has grown to be the largest producer of premium Barramundi in Australia. The company has succeeded through unique approaches to problem solving in an unconventional environment. Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter/ Fitter & Turner
- Demonstrated Fixed Plant Maintenance on commercial production facilities and food production is an advantage
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience with Tanks and pipe work both steel and poly
- Experience with food production machinery and conveyers advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with farm machinery
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment
- Current HR or MR driver's license
- Poly Welding experience
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on fixed plant equipment across the farm
- Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting for mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Adhere to work health, safety and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to communicate work priorities, challenges, and progress
- Document maintenance activities and report issues or delays impacting on production
Experience with the following equipment is highly regarded
- Gensets and Compressors
- Waste water systems including drum filters
- High volume air blowers
- High volume water pumps
