The role reports to the Engineering Supervisor. You will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and performance of plant equipment across a busy manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance.
- Mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, bearings and motors.
- Planned maintenance and shutdown work.
- Equipment installation and upgrades.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working closely with production to minimise downtime.
Qualifications
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical fault‑finding skills.
- Experience maintaining production and processing equipment.
- A proactive attitude with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
