The Opportunity:

Western NSW Local Health District is seeking a Locum Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar to support O&G; services at a regional hospital.

This role is suited to a registrar with recent O&G; experience who is confident supporting antenatal, gynaecology and maternity presentations, ward-based care, clinical reviews and escalation of care where required.

The placement offers a Monday to Friday roster, with doctors required to be available for on-call shifts. The block may also be able to be split into smaller periods depending on availability and hospital requirements.

Clinical Environment:

Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar role within Western NSW LHD

Regional hospital setting with varied O&G; exposure

Monday to Friday roster, 07:45 – 16:15

On-call availability required

Supportive team environment with escalation pathways available

Key Duties:

Support O&G; ward-based care and clinical reviews

Assist with antenatal, maternity and gynaecology presentations

Complete clinical documentation, handover and management plans

Escalate patient concerns appropriately

Work collaboratively with medical, midwifery, nursing and allied health teams





Eligibility Criteria:

Current AHPRA Registration

Recent O&G; registrar-level experience

Ability to participate in on-call shifts

Solid communication and clinical documentation skills

Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately

Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
