Founded in 2004, Total Harvesting is a locally owned and operated business with operation centres in Albany, Bunbury, Yornup and Esperance. We log, chip and haul Bluegum and pine products under various contracts in WA.
We are seeking to fill a number of Full-Time Permanent Logging Plant Operators positions across the Bunbury, Yornup, and Albany regions, including Skidder, buncher and chipper operators.
About the Role The successful applicants will operate forestry machinery and mobile plant across plantation harvesting operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity and equipment care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform prestart functions and requirements. All startup procedures must be followed in accordance with the operator’s manual.
- Daily greasing and light maintenance of machine in line with operator's manual.
- Preparation, positioning and operating in plantation coupes of mechanised equipment.
- Fell, debark (if required), bunch, extract, load, chip or stack of product.
- Follow site safety requirements, SWMS and operational procedures.
- Maintain production targets while operating safely.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members.
- Adhere to all company work rules and procedures, along with provided codes of conduct and operation and chain of responsibility requirements.
Skills and Experience
- At least 1 year experience operating forestry, civil, agricultural or heavy mobile plant equipment.
- Solid safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to work in remote and regional operational environments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Current driver's license.
- Forestry industry experience desirable but not essential for suitable experienced operators.
Employment Conditions Equivalent annual salary package of $79,500 - $90,000 plus superannuation. Employees are paid on an hourly rate basis.

- Ability to undertake a full medical prior to employment.
- Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing will apply.
