Eastern Line Shipping is a family owned and operated company, with a focus on providing affordable transport solutions for our customers to and from King Island, Flinders Island and Welshpool.
Due to expansion, we require a Logistics / Administration Officer. This will be a full time position Monday to Friday hours 7.30 am to 4.00 pm.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain high levels of communication with customers.
- Provide support with the co-ordination, planning and communication of resources to maximise revenue per service.
- Managing of forecast bookings.
- Liaising with our First Mate daily confirming freight movements
- Receiving and dispatching freight
- Preparation of concise and accurate schedules
- Identify and provide advice on emerging issues and opportunities to continuously improve services and service delivery.
- Prepare, type and distribute documentation.
- Managing the incoming and outgoing correspondence for freight collections via emails and phone
- Providing documentation to Tasmanian Ports on Cargo Manifests
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within a similar role
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- High level administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Strong communication skills (face to face and over the phone) and high attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to the team.
- Ability to prioritise customer satisfaction, going above and beyond to achieve this.
- Strong planning, organising and time management skills.
- Initiative and the ability to learn quickly.
- A can-do attitude, strong work ethic and keen eye for detail
- Ability to work under pressure and within a fast-paced environment.
