The Opportunity Concierge Bayside is a relaxed independent retirement community set in the beachside suburb of Hampton East, just 14 km from Melbourne's CBD. Residents enjoy easy access to Brighton Beach, Hampton Street's vibrant café and dining scene, Westfield Southland, and Holmesglen Private Hospital and stunning parklands right on the doorstep. As a Maintenance Officer, you will play an important role within the community ensuring homes and shared spaces are safe, functional and well presented.

You’ll manage a range of reactive and preventative maintenance tasks, from repairs to general handyperson work, while engaging positively with residents. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a trade background or strong domestic maintenance experience, who is friendly, proactive, and passionate about helping others. This is a permanent part time position working Wednesday and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm Your Impact Completing general repairs and handyperson tasks such as painting, picture hanging and light replacements

Performing small plumbing maintenance, including replacing taps and washers

Supporting the upkeep of external assets such as lighting and sprinkler systems

Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance across the community

Managing community tools and equipment to ensure they are safe, organised and fit for purpose

Recording maintenance activities, notes and job updates

Being a friendly and approachable presence for residents while working closely with a supportive team

Please note - this is not a gardening role (we have that covered!) What you'll bring Experience in a general maintenance or trade‑based role, including hands‑on handyperson tasks A proactive,



solutions‑focused approach, with the ability to assess issues, troubleshoot and take action An understanding of maintenance cycles and the expected lifespan of equipment and village assets

Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain maintenance works in a resident‑friendly way A positive, approachable attitude and a strong sense of pride in your work A valid driver’s licence (essential)
