We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Maintenance Fitter to join our operations team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of fixed plant equipment through proactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and equipment-related faults.
- Complete planned maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules and operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and service history documentation.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance planning of current plant and equipment.
- Support workplace safety initiatives by conducting risk assessments and following all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Your Profile
- A Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent recognised trade certification.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing fixed plant or industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic equipment, and industrial maintenance practices.
- Experience operating a range of tools and workshop equipment, including power tools and welding equipment.
- A Restricted Electrical Licence
- Forklift Licence (preferred).
