As our event portfolio continues to grow, we're looking for an outstanding Senior Event Operations Manager to join our team.

This isn't a role for someone wanting to simply coordinate events.

We're looking for someone who lives and breathes large-scale sporting events. Someone who understands what it takes to deliver safe, seamless and world-class participant experiences, and who wants to play a leading role in taking our events to the next level.

About the Role

As a Senior Event Manager, you'll lead the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of major mass participation sporting events from concept through to event day and post-event evaluation.

You'll work alongside an experienced and passionate team while taking ownership of key operational areas and helping shape the future direction of our events.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where no two days are the same. One day you'll be working with government agencies on road closures, the next you'll be overseeing event infrastructure,



managing contractors, coordinating volunteers or solving operational challenges on event day.

You’ll Be Responsible For

Leading event planning and operational delivery across multiple events.

Developing and implementing detailed site plans and event infrastructure layouts.

Managing contractors and suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Coordinating traffic management planning and working closely with traffic management providers.

Building strong relationships with local governments, emergency services, land managers and key event stakeholders.

Managing event operations, logistics and production schedules.

Leading and mentoring event staff, contractors, casual employees and volunteer teams.

Identifying operational improvements that enhance participant experience, efficiency and event quality.

Managing budgets, timelines and project deliverables.

Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and risk management.

About You

You'll already have significant experience delivering large-scale sporting or community events and understand the unique challenges of mass participation events.

You thrive under pressure,



enjoy solving complex logistical challenges and know how to lead people to deliver outstanding outcomes.

Ideally you'll bring:

Extensive experience managing mass participation sporting events.

Proven event operations and site management expertise.

Strong contractor and supplier management skills.

Experience working with traffic management planning and road closure processes.

Confidence working with government agencies, sporting organisations and key stakeholders.

Exceptional organisational and project management skills.

Strong leadership and people management experience.

Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

The ability to remain calm, adaptable and solutions-focused in fast-paced environments.
