About this role:
As a Pastoral Care and Wellbeing Mentor, you will work closelywith year-level teachers and coordinators to plan and facilitatemeaningful programs and events, such as after-school activities,camps, and excursions. Your role involves leading discussions,games, and activities aligned with our Pastoral Care and Wellbeingcurriculum. You’ll be a role model and mentor, building positiverelationships with students while maintaining professionalboundaries.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Actively engage with students and support their developmentin line with our Pastoral Care and Wellbeing programs.
- Organise and participate in a variety of events, includingcamps and holiday programs.
- Prepare relevant curriculum-based content and value-addingactivities.
- Collaborate with the Pastoral Care team, attending regularmeetings and providing valuable feedback.
- Engage in ongoing career development to enhance yourmentoring skills and effectiveness.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Certifications in First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management,Infection Prevention, Child Protection, and Food Safety.
- Strong understanding ofchild safety requirements, regulations, and their applicationin school settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge ofthe Pastoral Care and Wellbeing curriculum and its importancein student development.
- Excellent communicationskills, including public speaking, active listening, andeffective written communication.
- Strong organisationalskills for planning and coordinating events, meetings, andstudent activities.
- Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundarieswhile providing student support.
- Ability to manage time effectively to balance multipleresponsibilities and meet program requirements.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development andadaptability to meet evolving program goals.
